The firm are recognised for the commercial expertise and people centric focus, making it a brilliant place to work.The firm's Residential Property team advises clients ranging from first-time buyers to investors on the full range of matters, including buying and selling, financing, planning, boundary and title issues, disputes, and agriculture and rural land issues. The firm are looking to recruit a fee earner between 2 and 8 years PQE to join their Residential Property, Farms and Estates team in Oxford as a Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate depending on experience.Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of files, dealing effectively with cases and transactions.
  • Build credibility with clients and develop own client relationships through managing client expectations regarding options, outcomes, risk and timescales.
  • Scope fees for existing clients
  • Grow internal and external networks of clients, intermediaries and contacts.
  • Build on personal and department profile and reputation by attending networking events, writing publications/ marketing materials and speaking at seminars.
  • Take responsibility for managing aspects of projects that are delegated and meet deadlines.
  • Support juniors in the team by giving technical, business and general advice.
  • Ensure a good flow of communication to senior lawyers but also more junior members of the team
  • Track progress against your own KPIs, meeting targets
  • Support with budgetary management of client matters
  • Apply all business processes and use resources effectively & efficiently.
  • Understand the changes in the practice area/legal sector and the implications for the firm.
Skills, Experience, and Attributes
  • Previous experience of managing a residential property caseload
  • Qualified fee earner 2PQE+
  • Ability to manage own files and delegate work to others
  • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivery of excellent client service
