Software Engineering Manager - South Oxfordshire

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a team of talented engineers. In this role, you will be the driving force for technical excellence, oversee project execution, and mentor a team of our clients newest formed business division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to align technical efforts with business objectives.
- Establish and enforce best practices for software development, code quality, and agile methodologies.
- Monitor project progress, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new engineering team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong background in software development.
- Experience with cloud platforms and scalable architectures.
- Proven experience working with software for project and integrated management.
- Solid understanding of agile development methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced start-up or enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
What you can expect:
Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 per annum reflective of experience
Location: South Oxfordshire
Working Model: Hybrid (Mix of on-site and remote from home)
