About the Role:

We're seeking a dynamic Procurement Specialist to join our client's Procurement team. This hybrid procurement specialist role in the public sector involves managing end-to-end tender processes, ensuring value-for-money, supporting strategic projects, and overseeing compliance with commercial terms, health and safety regulations, and risk management frameworks.

About You:

  • Must be MCIPS qualified
  • Qualified Procurement professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience - preferably 3 years' experience in the Public sector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full tender process, ensuring compliance, evaluating returns, and awarding contracts. Supervise other procurement professionals involved.
  • Ensure non-pay related spending meets government standards for value, transparency, and control.
  • Contribute to or lead strategic projects, participating in project boards and teams.
  • Provide procurement expertise to project managers, helping with contract negotiations, evaluations, and successful delivery.
  • Develop and enforce commercial terms, policies, and procedures with contractors.
  • Ensure health, safety, and security compliance in
  • Identify and manage procurement risks, ensuring they align with the organization's risk management framework.
