The Postal Delivery Driver position is located at the Kilmarnock Delivery Office with a pay rate of £14.49 per hour.
This role requires candidates to work on Sundays from 08:00 to 16:00 and is temporary ongoing as needed.
Applicants must hold a valid full UK driving license, preferably with a clean record, and previous delivery experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Key responsibilities include sorting and delivering post/parcels, walking at least 8 miles per day, and using a hand-held device for routing and customer signatures.
Candidates should possess excellent time management, communication skills, and be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Pertemps are delighted to be supporting Royal Mail in recruiting Postal Delivery Workers across Scotland. Key Responsibilities:

You'll start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post/parcels to be delivered
You'll be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries. The hand-held will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next
The role will be physically demanding, where you'll be walking at least 8 miles per day. You will also be required to carry a post bag, delivering letters and parcels
Driving and on foot delivery will be required, and you will be required to push/pull a post trolley during deliveries

Key Requirements:

MUST hold a valid full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points in your current address. (a clean license is preferred)
Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices
Working outdoors in all weathers is required
Flexible with shift times and days
A Basic Disclosure check will be carried out for successful candidates
