Spider is advertising for an EstateHousekeeper on behalf of an estate and company who specialise in home and garden products. The Housekeeper will join the team with the plan to work with current postholder and then cover their maternity leave from July 2025, in Kings Lynn, Norfolk!

The company are based on an estate farm, with an adjoining house and grounds that reflect the branding and representation of the business, all within easy access from Downham Market, Kings Lynn, and Wisbech.

  • Hours of work: Flexible working between 20–40 hours per week primarily Monday to Friday starting at 7am, and there will be some requirement to work occasional weekends or bank holiday for events (with day off in lieu or extra holiday)

About the role

This Estate Housekeeper role requires a proactive mindset and the flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks, all while being a vital part of our team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our offices, house, and showrooms.

Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the main offices and communal areas, showrooms, trade studio, outdoor bar and Yurt are cleaned ready for the start of the working day.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the main estate farmhouse.
  • Preparing lunches for two Directors and occasionally their business guests.
  • Laundry duties, including washing and ironing.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Estate Housekeeper who is self-motivated and enjoys taking initiative.  You will be physically fit and can handle the demands of the role. You should be detail-oriented with a strong commitment to cleanliness and organisation, comfortable working independently while also being a cooperative team player. Flexibility and openness to occasional weekend work for events are essential.

You will need to hold a valid driving license, as will need to go to the wholesaler (for supplies etc). A car is provided but there may be age restrictions due to insurance, so may need access to your own vehicle.
