Job Title: Maths TeacherLocation:  West Ashby, LincolnshireSalary: £226,209 - £41,773  depending on experienceHours: Full time, Term time onlySeeking an Maths Teacher with experience teaching 8–13-year-olds to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.Our exceptional client has an independent special school in Wisbech who are focused on providing a safe learning environment that benefits all learners with the skills for their future. We work with 10- to 16-year-olds with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs to offer them a safe and tailored learning environment. As a Maths Teacher within our school, you will be providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 as well as Key Skills Communication at levels 2 and/or 3. You will be playing your part in helping the school achieve its aims and values. You will be delivering an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students with support from the leadership team. Key Duties:
  • To contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
  • To work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • To maintain and use short-, medium- and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
  • To set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each individual.
  • To monitor, assess, review and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as is required through school policies and procedures.
  • To maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate and take responsibility for own professional development.
  • To develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.
Experience /Qualifications:
  • Ideally QTS or QTLS however we will consider candidates  with Level 4/5 teaching qualifications
  • Experience of teaching SEN students
  • A passion for SEN / SEMH
