Job Title: Assistant Buyer.

Location: Kings Langley.

Salary: Up to 40K.

Buying support

Provide support to the Buyer and whole business for all buying activities, confident to go out for prices, challenging prices and lead times.

Use of purchase order system to raise purchase orders.

Build and manage internal and external customer relationships in support of the department.

General administration and accounts support

Contact suppliers and sites to ensure all deliveries have been made and gain proof of deliveries, enter deliveries in good received system.

Respond to external and internal queries, redirecting to the most appropriate person, as necessary.

Carry out various daily administrative tasks as requested within the civils work team.

Send out new supplier accreditation questionnaires and assist quality team in following through to approved status.

Assist account teams with invoice query resolution.

Desirable skills:

Strong administrative and planning skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

An eye for detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and take ownership of workloads.

Approachable with excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in communicating with all levels of personnel/stakeholders.

Conscientious approach to work with the ability to scrutinise and self-critique own work.

Highly self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
