We are seeking a Cook to join a friendly café team in the Kingsbridge, Devon area. This café is a popular seaside spot, offering breathtaking views, a relaxed atmosphere, and a menu featuring fresh fish and chips, stone-baked pizzas, burgers, salads, and homemade cakes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a COOK who enjoys a love of the outdoors, and wants to experience life by the sea.

The Role: Cook

As the cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving our classic seaside menu, ensuring food is fresh, well-presented, and consistently high quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items, including fish & chips, pizzas, and burgers
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Stock management, ordering, and proper food storage/rotation
  • Keeping kitchen equipment clean and in good working order
  • Completing daily kitchen records, including temperature logs and stock usage
  • Ensuring food safety and allergen awareness compliance
  • Assisting with takeaway service during peak times
  • Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A COOK who enjoys working together in a busy hospitality environment
  • Friendly, hard-working, and adaptable individuals with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for great customer service
  • Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or food service (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings

  • A love for coastal living and working in a dynamic setting

Additional Information:

  • The café is on a bus route, but having a car is beneficial
  • Training and support will be provided for both roles
