Location: Burgh Island (Live-in accommodation is available, subject to availability. This starts at £25.00 per week in a shared room)
This hotel is an iconic landmark and retreat, positioned on a wildly beautiful and secluded tidal Burgh island. This sea hotel was once described as a shining white ocean liner surrounded by golden beaches and silver seas.
We are currently looking for housekeepers to live on the island. You will be responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire property, including guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas.
Working hours will be 40 hours per week working 5 days a week 8-hour shifts. shift patterns could be.
7am-3pm
9am-5pm
Or the split shift
9am-3pm/ 7pm-9pm as they offer turndown service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Cleaning a set number of guest rooms each day to the sop standards required
2. Reporting any damaged or missing items to the Head Housekeeper
3. Carrying out guest requests such as extra beds, pillows, bathroom supplies
4. Completing deep cleaning projects as required
5. Cleaning public areas to the standards required
6. To only use hotel approved chemicals and substances correctly and safely following certain procedures and by using correct dilution ratios.
7. To report any maintenance issues to the Duty Manager
8. To only use chemicals for which you have received relevant COSHH training
9. To assist with the in-house laundry and linen stock deliveries and collections
10. To carry out turn down service of an evening
11. Make sure guests’ rooms are always locked if not attended
12. Ensure you keep noise level down so guests can enjoy their stay without interruption
13. To Complete any online training in the time provided
14. To wear a clean and tidy uniform to work at all time’s
15. To using the correct procedure clocking in and out of the shift
16. To follow the sop supplied
17. To complete any reasonable request from the Head Housekeeper, Executive Head Housekeeper, Managing director, HR Manager
18. To always acknowledge guests with a smile and appropriate greeting
