The Client

My client are a leading manufacturer of Power Generation packages and are seeking a Service Engineer to join their team.

Job Purpose:

To carry out all aspects of service, maintenance and Commissioning activities to ensure the highest quality of support for the customer at all times.

The role is global, multi-disciplined, and includes mechanical, electrical and electronic skills. The work is usually carried out at the customer's site, so the engineer must be able to work on their own initiative and with minimal supervision.

Main Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities include:
•    Attending site to carry out regular maintenance inspections
•    Fault diagnosis and repair on all supplied equipment
•    Maintaining a good working relationship with the customer
•    Preparation of accurate reports and timesheets using the current company system
•    Work within the current quality management system requirements
•    Work safely, and with consideration for the safety of others

KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the following:
•    Principles of a gas turbine
•    Principles and advantages of CHP installations
•    Generator control and protection
•    Methods and systems of emissions control
•    Understand the differences between various maintenance contracts and the resulting consequences for both the customer and the company
•    Demonstrate a willingness and ability to pass on knowledge and experience to other engineers
•    Understand the Companies' Policies on health & safety, quality, and the environment
•    Be aware of the health & safety of yourself and of others, and be able to identify hazards and act to reduce risk 
•    Be able to carry out a risk assessment and prepare a method statement

Salary:

£37,000-£45,000
