Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Working pattern: Hybrid
Salary range: £25k - £32k
We are partnered with an international commodities company who are looking for an Accountant Assistant to joint their team. In this role the successful candidate will work with wider finance team to maintain financial data, manage online banking transactions, and ensure accurate cash flow.
In this role you will:
- Updating and maintaining financial data using SAP ByDesign
- Managing online banking, including foreign currency contracts, payments to local and overseas suppliers, and chasing overdue accounts.
- Maintaining the company's cash flow position.
- Applying for and cancelling Import Loans, along with daily cash management oversight.
- Performing daily/weekly bank reconciliations, including multiple foreign currency accounts.
- Assisting with stock management and maintaining accurate records of incoming shipments.
- Conducting inter-company reconciliations and other financial reconciliations.
- Developing and implementing new administrative systems to enhance efficiency.
You will need:
- Minimum 12 months of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with an ERP accounting system, preferably SAP.
- Understanding and previous experience with foreign exchange and international currencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
