Job Summary
The Key Account Manager will play an essential role in expanding our business by managing key accounts, fostering industry partnerships, and securing new contracts. This is a prime opportunity for a professional with experience in the plumbing and heating sector, particularly in the merchant and contractor space. Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Build and strengthen relationships with M&E contractors, plumbing contractors, housing associations, and local authorities.
- Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to secure new contracts while optimizing current account opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales and operations teams to ensure exceptional contract execution and client satisfaction.
- Market Expansion: Identify potential clients in the public and private sectors, focusing on the merchant, LA/HA, and contractor markets.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to remain responsive to market changes and capitalize on opportunities.
- Performance Tracking: Report on key performance indicators, sales goals, and contract growth to senior management.
Key Requirements
- Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the plumbing and heating industry with established contacts among M&E contractors, plumbing contractors, housing associations, and local authorities.
- Sales/Specifications Background: 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the merchant and contractor sectors.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate high-value contracts and communicate effectively.
- Independent & Collaborative: Self-driven with strong organizational skills, able to work independently while engaging effectively with team members.
- Leadership Experience: Regional Manager experience is advantageous but not required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Currently in a similar role, looking to manage larger, more strategic accounts.
- Regional or Sales Manager in the merchant or contractor space, ready to progress into key account management.
