This is a great opportunity for an individual who is keen to learn in a fast moving technical but enjoyable environment and is seeking long term career development. You will be responsible for assisting the sales team with day-to-day orders and will be expected to learn the business & products to enable you to develop into a competent business and salesperson as quickly as possible.
As part of the role, from time to time, you will also assist the team in the yard and help with the preparation and dispatch of orders. Someone keen to involve themselves in the company’s hands on work ethic would be ideal.
Key Duties:
- Developing relationships with customers
- Working on enquiries through to orders and payment.
- Showing & selling to high end customers, designers, architects, stock in the yard.
- Managing larger cut to size and imported orders.
- Learning the customer base and delivery schedules.
- From time to time Preparing and managing sample stocks, managing tile stocks in warehouses, and helping yard with inbound containers & trailers.
Person Specification
- Experience within a construction, interior design, kitchen or bathrooms, or building suppliers or similar sector is required.
- Stable work history
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be keen to get stuck into a varied role.
- Contentious and organised approach to work
- Must be well presented and articulate.
- Good IT Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good numeric skills and capable of multi-tasking with compromising on attention to detail
- Driving license is essential.
