We are seeking a passionate and motivated Curriculum Leader for Religious Education (RE) to join our team for an immediate start on a fixed-term contract until January 2025. Role Overview:

As the Curriculum Leader for Religious Education, you will lead the RE department and ensure that the curriculum is effectively delivered to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will have a passion for education, a commitment to developing students' understanding of religious and ethical issues, and the leadership skills to inspire both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Religious Education department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and deliver an engaging RE curriculum that inspires students to explore diverse religious and ethical perspectives.
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies for improvement, ensuring strong outcomes at GCSE level.
  • Take on additional leadership responsibilities associated with a TLR, including departmental initiatives, enrichment activities, or staff development.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the RE department.
  • Actively engage in the wider curriculum through the school’s Going Beyond program and other enrichment activities.
Candidate Requirements:
  • A qualified Religious Education Teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience delivering the RE curriculum at GCSE level, with strong student outcomes.
  • Experience in curriculum planning and leadership within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire students and staff alike.
