Here at Academics LTD I am working with a fantastic three form entry Primary school in Kingston to recruit an ASD teaching assistant to work alongside a child in Year 5 with ADHD. The child need support 5 mornings a week to help him in class to stay on track and access the curriculum.

This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or a graduate / Level 3 qualified person who is keen to learn and develop their skills working with children with ADHD.

The school offers full in house training and there is a very experienced and supportive SENCo who is will help the successful teaching assistant settle in to their new role.

This role would suit a teaching assistant who has a proactive and caring approach to work with children with ADHD. The child displays good behaviour however can become dysregulated and need to be taken out of class from time to time. You will need to be able to be patient and be comfortable learning and delivering de-escalation strategies to support the child when needed.

This would be a perfect role for a Teaching Assistant who would like to develop their skill set ahead of further training to become an SEN Teacher or Educational Psychologist.
