Your new companyHays Human Resources are proud to be exclusively partnering with One Air on a multi-vacancy HR campaign due to organisational growth. One Air is a new British all-cargo airline offering full charter services to clients in the international freight forwarding, logistics and air charter markets. Their launch aircraft is the iconic Boeing 747-400 Special Freighter (SF) and they are continuing to grow their fleet to meet client demand. One Air regard their people as their greatest asset and seek to be a supportive and forward-thinking employer.Your new roleYou will be responsible for ensuring best practice recruitment and selection, working closely with recruiting managers, and making sure to stay compliant with UK employment regulations. You will be in charge of organising effective recruitment campaigns to ensure staffing levels are in line with company growth requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cost-effective and timely recruitment campaigns using best practices that are compliant with UK employment regulations.
  • Create job descriptions, adverts, and organise open days alongside the Recruiting Manager, ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Prepare Authority to Recruit forms and business cases for new roles.
  • Train managers in best practice selection methods and keep them updated on recruitment progress.
  • Manage internal and external recruitment advertising, liaising with agencies and headhunters.
  • Ensure effective, GDPR-compliant communication with applicants.
  • Track recruitment activity, report on progress, quality, outcomes, and costs, and file documentation.
  • Support the onboarding process and recommend training to enhance recruitment processes.
  • Audit recruitment documentation for GDPR compliance and collate recruitment statistics

What you'll need to succeed

  • Over 2 years of in-house recruitment and selection experience from graduate to board level.
  • Proven experience managing graduate and large recruitment campaigns.
  • Trained in developing selection processes (e.g., assessment centres, competency-based interviewing).
  • Experience with aptitude tests, ability tests, and psychometric profiling.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to influence, work independently and collaborate.
  • Up-to-date with new selection tools, techniques, and advertising trends.
  • Knowledge of UK employment regulations, GDPR, and immigration regulations
