The 3rd Line Support Engineer is a key part of the Helpdesk team, providing advanced technical support for DEMS-related issues. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex software problems, escalating unresolved cases to the development team, and ensuring high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an escalation point for DEMS-related issues via phone or email.
  • Log, track, and communicate the status of support cases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • Provide remote and on-site support for DEMS installations and upgrades.
  • Monitor cloud-based systems to ensure uptime for customers.
  • Offer training and rollout support for DEMS internally and externally.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support.

Technical Skills (DEMS/360 Cloud)

  • Azure App Service: Deploying and managing web applications and APIs.
  • Azure Blob Storage: Secure data storage and integration.
  • SQL Database Management: Optimizing and integrating Azure SQL.
  • Azure Networking & Security: Secure connections and communication between services.
  • Infrastructure Management: Experience in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Security & Compliance: Identity protection, data encryption, and governance.
  • Enterprise Integration: Hybrid cloud and on-premises system connectivity.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong experience in Azure (App Service, Blob Storage, SQL, AD, Entra).
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (AZ900, AZ104).
  • Must meet UK police vetting requirements (5 years of residency).

This role requires excellent customer service, advanced technical knowledge, and a passion for emerging technologies to ensure the Helpdesk delivers effective support.
