The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Principal Design Engineer to be based out of South West London.

Job Overview:

This role is working for a leading EPC company working on a subsea pipeline project for a 12+ month project.

Skills Required:

* Degree qualified in civil, structural or mechanical discipline.

* Will be involved primarily in detailed FE analysis but also in general subsea pipeline and spools design activities, such as, wall thickness, stability, bottom roughness and freespan.

* A comprehensive understanding of structural analysis, including, statics, dynamics and fatigue as well as installation and constructability aspects of pipeline systems.

* Should have extensive experience in Subsea engineering with knowledge of typical subsea software tools

What do you need to succeed?

Qualifications and Software:

* Degree qualified in civil, structural or mechanical discipline

* FEA software Orcaflex, ANSYS, ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D solid elements) and hand calculations. Knowledge of DNV SESAM, Sage Profile 2D and AutoPIPE will be a benefit.
