An exciting Sustainable and award-winning Promotional Merchandise brand is looking for a Buyer to cover projects in the Far East and Europe. This brand is owned by a global organisation, but you will work in the division, which is smaller, so you get to work in a boutique style environment. They create, design, and consult clients on the most creative products and merchandising strategies around! Are you the driven Buyer they have been looking for? Location: WFH flexible working + Kingston office. You are expected to be in 2 days a week, and the rest WFH. Salary: £35k-£45k + BonusThe role:Source and purchase promotional merchandise from Global and European suppliers, across a wide range of product categories and clients.*You could be working on 1 brief or 10, reaching out to suppliers once the brief has been given by the Account Manager. You will check with the client if the price and solution is right for them. You will also create concepts if it is a longer project. Costing jobs and getting orders out is important. *This is a 360 role where a lot of the admin will be done by you, but customer service will also be there to support. Responsibilities: *Sourcing directly or indirectly the most appropriate suppliers for each brief in order to deliver the optimum combination of capability, price, lead-time and quality.*Assist with Quality Control and Logistics (importing, customs) and liaise with the in-house logistics team to ensure on time delivery. (where applicable)*Arrange and manage testing and inspections (where applicable) *Proactively manage costs, in line with required profit margins and budgets*Utilise skills to negotiate best prices / payment terms / deals from suppliers.*Work in accordance with the Company's ethical sourcing policies to ensure full compliance.*Ensure that a full written documentation trail is available, in accordance with specified company procedures.*Propose products in response to creative briefs from the sales team and our clients.*Receive, handle and resolve client enquiries/requests for quotations, making sure you involve the relevant Account Manager as required.*Raise formal purchase orders and process all associated admin through our SAP order processing system.*Manage projects within our critical path system to ensure on time delivery.*Research, discuss and introduce new suppliers on a regular basis.*Gain a thorough understanding of customers, their brands and their requirements.Benefits: *Pension: 4% Company matched pension *Holiday: 33 days holiday (including 8 bank holidays and 3 office closure days) pro-rated.
