Salary: £85 - £100 per day (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)

School Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for a lovely SEN Secondary school in the Kingston area who are seeking supportive School Support Workers to join their amazing team for the start of the new academic year. In this role as a School Support Worker, you must be comfortable carrying out personal care and support children with PLMD given the nature of the school.

The Role:

  • You will be working 1:1 within an SEND role or with children in small groups
  • Demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skill
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
  • Carry out personal care
  • Handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding
  • Experience working with young people or SEND in any capacity

Requirements:

  • You have experience with SEN in either a school setting or a Care based role
  • Be available to start immediately
  • Live in Kingston or within a commutable distance
  • You will be comfortable doing personal care given the severe needs of the children the school has
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
