Job Title: Child and Family Social Worker (CSW)

9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Family Social Worker to join my client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and intervention to children and families in need, ensuring their well-being and safeguarding. You will work collaboratively with families, community organizations, and other professionals to create positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans and intervention strategies.
  • Provide direct support to children and families through home visits and counselling.
  • Liaise with schools, healthcare providers, and other agencies to coordinate services.
  • Advocate for children’s rights and ensure their voices are heard.
  • Monitor and review cases regularly, adapting plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of casework and interventions.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development activities.
  • Stay informed about current legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.

Qualifications:

  • Recognized qualification in Social Work (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England (or relevant regulatory body).
  • Previous experience in child and family social work is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment.
  • Empathy, resilience, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of specific therapeutic interventions for children and families.
  • Experience in managing complex cases and developing multi-agency partnerships.
