- Produce high-quality bespoke, made-to-order wood products for the upholstery industry.
- Follow cutting specifications with accuracy, ensuring components are cut to the correct dimensions and meet production standards.
- Inspect and maintain wood quality throughout the production process, ensuring all parts meet company and customer standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth, efficient work flow and timely delivery of projects.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and ensure the safe operation of machinery at all times.
- Perform general woodmill tasks as required, supporting the overall production process.
- Proven experience working in a woodmill or similar environment.
- Essential experience in operating band saws, cross-cut saws, and rip saws, with a high level of competency.
- Experience in the upholstery industry, ideally in producing bespoke, made-to-order wood components.
- Strong ability to read and interpret customer drawings and measurements accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team or independently when required.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
