Sales Administrator – £13.20/hour – Dudley/Gornal, West Midlands

The Role

We are a distributor and daughter company of a global manufacturer, primarily serving the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries. We are seeking a Sales Administrator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring smooth sales operations.

This is a permanent, part-time position within our sales team, focusing on administrative tasks that link the sales office to customers. You will assist with processing sales orders, handling customer queries, and supporting internal processes to keep everything running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales orders promptly and accurately.
  • Respond to customer queries and requests via telephone and email.
  • Liaise with other departments such as production and external sales.
  • Use Sage and SAP software for tasks like raising enquiries, order acknowledgements, and purchase/works orders.
  • Prepare quotations and assist in maintaining accurate data records.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks, including data cleansing.

  • Flexible working hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, totalling 30 hours per week).

The Person

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Strong telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Previous experience in a sales administration role.
  • Familiarity with Sage/SAP software (an advantage).
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Confidence in working as part of a small team and independently.
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
