We are pleased to be supporting a forward-thinking SME manufacturing business based in the Dudley area who have a great opportunity for an experienced and detail orientated Production Planner to join them and take accountability for developing production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of manufactured product and ensuring finished stocks remain at optimal levels.

As the Production Planner you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing manufacturing scheduling processes.

The Production Planner will be responsible for:

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, internal capacity / resources and customer orders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure availability of resources, such as materials and manpower, to meet production targets
• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with procurement to ensure adequate supply of materials
• Analyse production data, identify bottlenecks, and propose process improvements
• Coordinate with shipping and logistics departments to ensure timely delivery of finished goods
• communicate production updates and potential delays to relevant stakeholders

Who are we looking for?

You will be a detail orientated individual who has existing experience in roles such as Production Planner / Production Controller / Production Analyst / Capacity Planner. If you have experience planning schedules for sheet metal processes that would also be ideal (but not essential). You will have a good level of knowledge in using MS Excel as well as MRP for planning functions.
