Warehouse Operations Manager 

Monday to Friday - 6am - 4pm

Flexibility around working hours required  

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our well-established client based in Kingswinford, WEST MIDLANDS on a full-time permanent basis.

Day to Day Duties

As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and optimising warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and team development.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Leading, training, and coaching warehouse employees to enhance performance
  • Managing all warehousing and distribution functions to meet operational targets
  • Forecasting resource requirements, preparing budgets, and scheduling expenditures
  • Developing and refining warehouse systems for product handling, storage, and inventory management
  • Implementing process improvements to optimise workflow and efficiency
  • Ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

Essential Skills 

? Minimum of five years’ experience in warehouse operations management within a fast-paced environment

? Proven leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and managing teams

? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively? Experience in stock control, inventory management, and operational planning? Knowledge of quality assurance principles and continuous improvement methodologies? Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and drive operational efficiencies? In-depth understanding of health and safety standards within a warehouse setting? Experience conducting appraisals and performance management reviews

Desirable Experience

? Experience working within time-critical logistics, dangerous goods, or high-value consignments? Familiarity with TAPA certifications and supply chain security protocols? Knowledge of bonded warehouse operations and HMRC compliance? Continuous improvement training (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
