Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking for a new career with a National Packaging Company based in Dudley?If yes, we want to hear from you!Annual Salary: £42,000 to £46,000 (DOE)Weekly Shift:    Mon to Fri - 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pmYour main role will be to assist the Engineering Manager to ensure the factory requirements are met in line with the business requirements primarily at their Dudley site.The company is the largest co-packer in the UK, working with some of the best-known food brands to provide cost-effective and innovative co-packing, co-filling and co-manufacturing solutions.Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Set up / Changeover machinery in a timely manner, depending on the planned production.
  • To fault find and carry out repairs on all machinery.
  • Assisting the Production team where possible: Providing engineering solutions and assist in an operational capacity,
  • Monitoring all lines with regards to Overall equipment efficiencies.
  • Actively look for opportunities to continuously improve machine performance.
  • Ensure delivery of the maintenance plan as agreed with the Engineering Manager.
  • To assist in colleague training and development when required.
  • To carry out electrical and mechanical modifications and installations.
  • To maintain the company CMMS system in a clear and timely manner.
  • Outside production hours some week end overtime working will be required to suit the business needs.
  • Occasional travel maybe required, to undertake maintenance at other sites or complete training objectives.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager with all installations, commissioning and facility upgrades prior to season start.
Qualifications:
  • Ideally Electrically biased, time served Engineer with good mechanical skills.
  • Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Able to communicate and motivate others is an essential part of the role.
  • Ideally you will have worked with packaging machinery within FMCG environment with Supporting college/technical qualifications in line with Engineering experience to date.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive disposition, and a clear focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • TPM methodology awareness.
  • Customer focused, ensure that company quality standards are adhered to.
  • You must be able to work under pressure both as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Must be able to make own decisions and liaise with other departments and/or colleagues.
