Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview

Optima are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team in Dudley.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
  • Ensure proper operation through preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and resolve faults, working with electrical systems and mechanical equipment
  • Conduct routine checks and repairs of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Work with welding, fabrication, and sub-assembly tasks
  • Follow health and safety regulations and adhere to all safety standards
  • Interpret technical documents, schematics, and equipment manuals

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and repair
  • Strong background in maintenance engineering and electrical systems
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and fabrication systems
  • Hands-on experience with welding
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
  • Familiarity with the 17th/18th Edition Electrical Regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Capability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team
