Job Function/Purpose: To process and engineer all new sales orders effectively, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) targets are achieved and customer quality requirements are fully met. You will be responsible for creating Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Manufacturing Process Specifications (MPS) based on customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing: Process all new sales orders, ensuring the selected routings are the most economical and fully compliant with customer requirements.
  • Technical Review: Review specifications and drawings, providing technical support and assistance to any departments within the business that require it.
  • ITP/MPS Creation: Create ITPs and MPSs based on customer requirements, ensuring all technical and quality aspects are met.
  • Production Planning: Work closely with production planning to ensure the best route is chosen to suit the business's current capacity and capabilities.
  • Customer Support: Address any technical queries from customers, providing necessary support.
  • Contract Review: Perform contract review of sales orders and routings.
  • Supplier Management: Engage with suppliers to procure raw materials and finished goods to meet customer demand.

Key Measures:

  • Quality: Ensure all customer requirements are met in full 100% of the time.
  • Cost Efficiency: Apply best route and best practices to all routings planned to ensure the most efficient methods are used.
  • Delivery: Process all orders in a timely manner, ensuring maximum time is given to production and company OTD targets are fully met.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the fasteners industry or aerospace industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with production planning and other departments.
  • Proven track record of meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
