We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to join our dynamic team at our Special School in Dudley.About the School: Our school is a well-established, nurturing environment dedicated to supporting students with a wide range of SEN, including autism spectrum disorders, moderate learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. We are proud of the positive relationships we foster with our students and their families, creating a community of support and growth.About the Role: This full-time position is set to start after February half-term, offering an exciting opportunity to join our team and make an immediate impact. As a Special Needs Teacher, you will work with students who require tailored support due to a variety of learning and emotional challenges. You will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of our students, helping them to thrive both academically and personally. You will be part of a supportive team and play a key role in fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning environment. There is also the potential for this role to transition from a temporary contract to a permanent position, depending on performance and school needs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to students with a range of SEN, including learning difficulties, autism, and social/emotional challenges.
  • Supporting students in their personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Developing and implementing individual learning plans (ILPs) and behavioural strategies.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for each student.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback and reporting on development.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in teaching students with SEN.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of various SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who may require additional support.
  • Experience with implementing personalised learning plans and working in a special school setting is an advantage but not essential.
