Robert Half is excited to be partnering exclusively with a leading global organisation based in Kinross to recruit a Assistant Accountant for a permanent, full-time opportunity. This role is ideal for a part-qualified individual with strong practical accounting experience as well as analytical skills. Based in Kinross with on site parking, the organisation offers a hybrid working model (3 days office 2 WFH). The role involves working closely with the FC/CFO, assisting with day-to-day finance operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs Assistant Accountant, your primary duties will include:
- Assist in the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Managing cashflow
- Monthly Government compliance work (e.g. VAT)
- Payroll
- Liaise with external auditors
- Stock accounting/analysis
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this position, you'll bring:
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
- Analytical Ability - able to tackle a problem using a logical approach
- Knowledge of IT Software (Microsoft Office), and accountancy applications (Dynamics beneficial)
- Demonstrates commercial acumen skills when dealing with a business situation with a good outcome
- An enthusiastic attitude with an eagerness to learn and develop
- Strong Excel skills
Starting salary is in the range of £35,000 - £40,000 with study support toward a professional accounting qualification and additional benefits.
