Orkney Island Council

Require 2 Adult Social workers to join their team.

This will be in Adult Social work or Learning Disability's team

The Council will arrange for accommodation costs any and travel costs by ferry to and from Orkney at the start and end of the assignment. The council pays for the council tax if the workers have a primary place of residence with Orkney. Workers would typically work onsite on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 9 -5 ) in Orkney.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who is able to work both on an individual basis and as a member of a team. You will adopt a person-centred, outcome focused approach to deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care to service users within the service.

You should have knowledge and experience of support planning and risk assessing in relation to people who have disabilities and be committed to the principles of social inclusion. Experience of key working would also be an advantage.
