4 on 4 off days and nights

20 days annual leave

The Company

ATA have partnered with the UK's leading multi-site supplier supplying into the biggest names in the food retail sector. As the Production Team Leader you will be working in their brand-new purpose built fully automated site in Wakefield. They are looking for a team leader who has experience with managing people and KPI result driven. You will work alongside a team of multi skilled maintenance engineers on a range of industrial washer, conveyors, dryers and much more.

As the Production Team Leader, you will lead a team of 20 production operatives and manage the consistent application of processes within your department, ensuring that the quality and checks of products are processed to the agreed production plan and standard.

You'll continuously monitor quality of the end products, all operational processes, and the overall production environment to ensure that all activity comply with the company's safety standards.

You will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and reviewing the team capability, ensuring all staff are clearly focused on their key objectives and are developed to maximise their potential.

Key Responsibilities of the production team leader:

- Ensuring safety and performance targets are achieved.

- Lead/assist with continuous improvement projects and other similar activities.

- Ensure all operators are maintaining output levels in line with targets and recording all major events e.g. downtime

- Maintain high standards adhering to Health and Safety procedures

- Conduct various elements in managing people to include RTW meetings, investigations, disciplinaries, training

Requirements of the production team leader:

- Experience of working with in a manufacturing/FMCG technical background

- Excellent organisational skills including planning of labour and processes

- Strong IT Skills with experience of using Microsoft Office applications.

- Good Health, Safety and Environmental awareness with an understanding of risk assessments and legislation

- Resilience and an ability to liaise with staff at all levels are essential

Qualifications

- A formal qualification (or equivalent) IOSH, desirable
