MLK Education Search are actively seeking a highly motivated individual to take on the role of Registered Manager to work in an Ofsted registered children’s 3-bedroom residential home. This school offers a fully integrated approach to Education, Care, and Clinical support for young people aged 8 to 18 years, who come to us on a full-time, residential basis from across the country, with a range of Autistic Spectrum and associated complex needs. The successful candidate will provide strong, strategic leadership to drive regulatory success and ensure our children and young people enjoy a safe and happy home environment while developing their life skills and independence under the guidance and support of the care, therapy, and education teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspirational leadership to the staff team.
  • Offer compassionate support and encouragement to our children, young people, and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, understanding the competing demands of different professionals.
  • Develop strong working relationships with a range of professionals to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and best outcomes for the children and young people we support.
  • Provide support and guidance to families.
  • Demonstrate a highly developed awareness of safeguarding, team management, and challenges associated with Autism and other complex difficulties.
  • Apply the principles of care management and use exceptional organisational skills to ensure the efficient running of a successful care home.

 

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (Children).
