My client is a fast-growing service business based in Knutsford. This is an exciting time to join a growing business, where you will be a key member of the team, responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information.

My client is looking for a Management Accountant to join the team based in Knutsford, they offer a positive and friendly work environment with a flexible schedule.

As the accountant for multiple operating businesses, you will be organised and able to prioritise a challenging workload.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Production of Monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reporting
  • Preparation and posting of invoices, cashbooks and journals
  • Overseeing monthly payroll and timesheets
  • Working with project management to oversee project tracking
  • Business partnering non-finance colleagues to help them interpret financial data
  • Production of annual budgets and regular forecasts, including cash forecasting
  • Providing useful insight and commentary, including variance analysis of actual performance against budget
  • Responsibility for banking and payments
  • Credit control and management of debtors
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of audit information
  • Statutory accounts and tax, including corporation tax and VAT returns
  • Adhering to policies, promoting best practice and making recommendations
  • Supporting with other ad-hoc workstreams and office management as required

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, who can confidently navigate all aspects of finance.

A minimum level of accounting qualification is required - e.g. AAT, finance degree, CIMA full/part qualified (or equivalent).

Experience of Xero is desirable, as is a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance role.
