Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Project Planner to join a well-established construction organization based in Knutsford. This role offers flexibility with the requirement of 2 days per week on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in project planning, be able to work independently, and assist in delivering projects on time and within budget.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules for construction projects, ensuring all tasks are planned and executed within the agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, adjust schedules as necessary, and report on status to key stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the project manager in managing changes to the scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays.
  • Ensure the accurate recording and reporting of project data and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations in planning and project delivery.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of project management principles and tools.
  • Proficient in scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in construction or project management is desirable but not essential.


Desirable:

  • Experience working on commercial construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction health and safety regulations and industry standards.


Additional Information:

  • This is a freelance role requiring 2 days per week on-site in Knutsford.
  • The rate of pay is 400 per day.
