Robert Half is working closely with a property development business based in Knutsford to recruit for a Finance Manager. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, the company specialises in creating high-quality residential properties.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will have strong expertise in Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and VAT returns, ensuring the financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Day to day includes;

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • CIS Management; Oversee and manage all aspects of CIS compliance, including verifying subcontractors and submitting monthly returns.
  • Handle the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Oversee all subcontractor accounts, process all subcontractor invoices and
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with the preparation for external audits and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.

Ideal Candidate;

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, preferably in the construction or property development industry.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with CIS and VAT return processes.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.

Salary is dependant on experience, 5 days working on site (8.30pm - 4.30pm) and generous benefits package.
