Electrical/Mechanical Engineer | East Kilbride | Full-time, with call-out flexibility as required | 40 hours per week | £42,000 - £48,000 dependant on Experience

MBM Print SCS Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer to provide technical support and repairs for a variety of printing and finishing equipment at our East Kilbride site. The machines involved include Komori, Heidelberg, SHM Web presses, and Muller Martini systems, all well-known brands in the printing industry.

Recent investments have seen us installing one of the most automated Binding lines in Europe. We are in the process of replacing the web presses, with one machine ordered and a second soon to follow. This marks the beginning of a series of upgrades aimed at taking MBM to the next level. The successful candidate will collaborate with the business to identify the next phase of investment to enhance the services we provide to our customers.

This role demands flexibility, with the candidate expected to work on a call-out basis beyond their normal working hours to support business requirements.

Are you the right person for us?

We’re looking for a driven Mechanical or Electrical Engineer who:

  • Experience working with heavy machinery, ideally within the Print/Finishing trade
  • Holds an Electrical Engineering qualification to HNC/HND Level
  • strong communicator, able to collaborate across departments and with external contractors
  • Can work under pressure and thrives in a busy production environment
  • Motivated, organised, and eager to improve processes and machinery for the business

What will your role as a Maintenance Engineer Team Leader look like?

  • You will ensure that all machines are running smoothly through effective repair, maintenance, and by organising necessary contractors
  • You will lead the Maintenance team, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards
  • You will work closely with the business to identify future investment needs, and be a key part of the team implementing the next phase of upgrades
  • Your role will involve prioritising repairs, solving complex electrical and mechanical problems, and striving for continuous improvement in all technical operations
