As Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be working within the recycling facility and will have the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining a wide range of modern recycling and refuse equipment and machinery within a modern plant.
- Carrying out a proactive preventive schedule and quickly dealing with reactive mechanical repairs.
- Working on various welding and fabrication tasks expected within a mid to heavy engineering environment.
- Working Monday to Friday dayshift with half day finish on a Friday to ensure machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:
- Be a time served mechanical engineer educated to minimum HNC level.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of factory process, heavy plant and mechanical maintenance/repair with good fault finding and troubleshooting expereince.
- Proven fabrication and welding experience, using MIG/Stick welding.
- Knowledge of control systems, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics, and conveyors.
- Proven ability to work safely, independently and manage a busy workload in an efficient,
- Good PC Skills.
- Comfortability working in a recycling/waste environment and have a flexible can-do approach. There will be overtime opportunities.
