Accounts & Audit Senior - Small Accountancy Firm

Lancaster (Office-based with some flexible working)

£35,000 - £40,000 (Dependent on experience)

Are you looking for a role with variety, where you can develop both your accounts and audit experience? A well-respected small accountancy firm in Lancaster is looking for an Accounts & Audit Senior to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for SMEs, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Leading and assisting with audit work, including planning, fieldwork, and completion.
  • Preparing tax computations and VAT returns.
  • Working closely with clients and offering proactive advice.
  • Assisting with the training and mentoring of junior staff.

What We're Looking For:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or AAT qualified with strong practice experience).
  • Some previous audit experience within a practice setting (training will be provided to develop further).
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Excellent client communication skills and attention to detail.
