The OpportunityAs Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, providing essential insights to senior stakeholders, and supporting strategic decision-making. This position will allow you to influence financial processes, drive efficiency, and enhance commercial and operational reporting across the business.
With a strong focus on manufacturing and supply chain costs, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ensuring that the company operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of financial control.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the monthly close process, producing accurate management accounts and variance analysis
- Provide financial insights on manufacturing and supply chain costs, including labour, materials, and operational efficiency
- Manage product costing, ensuring accurate pricing and cost control
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, audits, VAT, and tax requirements
- Improve finance systems, processes, and reporting to drive efficiency
- Partner with commercial teams to evaluate new business opportunities and cost-saving strategies
- Lead balance sheet reconciliations and oversee stock valuation processes
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong background in management accounting and financial control
- Experience with standard costing systems and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, able to present financial information to senior stakeholders
- Proficiency in business IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Motivated, proactive, and able to influence and implement change
