Reed Accountancy have an incredible opportunity for a Part Qualified Accountant to join one of the Area's most established Accountancy Firms. The role is vacant due to growth and you will join a small but incredibly experienced and passionate team who will act as very good mentors as you continue through your studies.The office is based Lancaster city centre and can offer car parking.The team of 5 includes another PQ Accountant who you will work alongside and act as a great support.The team are passionate about giving the best service to the local client base and are looking for a candidate who wants to join a firm who really make a difference,Duties will include -  

  •  Ensure accounting team meets monthly KPIs (bank reconciliations, VAT & payroll).
  • Preparation/ Reviewing of self-assessment tax returns.
  • Providing basic personal & corporate tax advice.
  • Preparation of annual accounts to final stage
  • Preparation of corporation accounts to final stage
  • Dealing with HMRC and Client HMRC queries and correspondence.
  • Customer service – answering telephone calls and emails and dealing with queries and complaints.
  • Promote quality of service delivered to clients for retention and growth.
  • Preparation and Review VAT returns •
  • Report to managers & senior managers on personal and team
  • Attending client meetings as appropriate  

Skills -

  • To be studying towards ACA, ACCA 
  • IT Skills with competent use of word and excel.
  • To be able to solve problems and provide a professional, punctual, and accurate service to clients
  • Knowledge of company and personal taxation
