New Job - Uk Financial/Management Accountant

Our client engineers and manufactures high-quality products across the UK and Ireland. They have a strong presence in the UK, Ireland, and the wider European market, and are looking for an experienced UK Accountant to take responsibility for all aspects of financialreporting and management within their UK entity.
Lancaster - £50,000 - £60,000 pa (DOE including excellent benefits)
As the UK Financial/Management Accountant, you will be the main finance lead in the UK business, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance. You will report directly to the Group FinancialAccountant based in Ireland and oversee a team of three accounts assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Preparation of annual accounts
- Preparation of management accounts to meet group reporting deadlines.
- Managing quarterly stock takes and key financial inputs.
Accounting & Compliance:
- Ensure accuracy of the Nominal Ledger and oversee financial transactions.
- Prepare statutory reports, including VAT, Intrastat, and year-end payroll.
- Manage and prepare monthly payroll and pension functions.
- Oversee the Fixed Asset register and related workings.
Team & System Management:
- Lead, support, and develop the UK accounts team.
- Play a key role in further implementation of the ERP system (Epicor).
- Manage month-end close procedures and trailer costings for senior management.
- Liaise with auditors and prepare relevant reports for annual audits.
Cash Flow & Commercial Input:
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and usage reports.
- Maintain and develop stock records for new and used trailers.
- Assist with legal and employment issues where necessary
About You:
- Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, VAT, payroll, and compliance.
- Proven experience in staff management and team leadership.
- Excellent working knowledge of IT Financial Systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Organised, detail-conscious, and able to meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Aproactive problem solver with a commercial mindset.
- Dedicated to continuous improvement, quality, and excellence.
