1st Line Technician

Job Title: 1st Line Technician
Location: Central Lancaster
Salary: 22,000 - 26,000 DOE

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1st Line Technician to join a Managed IT Services company in Lancaster. You will be responsible for providing 1st line technical support, assisting clients with IT related queries and carrying out hardware/software support and maintenance tasks.

The role would be ideal for a candidate that has 1 year experience working within an IT support based background. However, IT graduates and apprentices are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide 1st line technical support on a range of IT hardware, software and network related issues.
- Log tickets, handle client calls and diagnose / deliver solutions to basic level issues
- Assist in the installation, procurement and maintenance of IT hardware and software
- Receiving, packaging and posting clients hardware
- Admin support with various ongoing projects
- Keeping client records up to date.
- Liaise with 3rd party IT suppliers.

Technical Skills Required:

- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office and Active Directory
- Experience of providing 1st line technical support (desirable not essential)
- Understanding of cloud services such as Office 365 and Azure.
- Experience of creating and maintaining client records.
- Passionate about IT and customer service, thinks strategically and drives performance
- Great communication skills and confident talking to customers
