Reed Business Support Lancaster, are currently working alongside our client to assist them with the recruitment of a Commercial Venues Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

The successful candidate will manage the continuous development, improvement, and success of a number of local commercial venues. This role involves effective planning, budget management, staff management, and governance to ensure financial sustainability and maximisation of income opportunities.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the business plan in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the commercial aspects of five local venues.
  • Build strong customer relationships and provide regular performance reports to Senior Management.
  • Explore and develop new business opportunities through strong stakeholder relationships and targeted marketing strategies.
  • Oversee local festivals and events, ensuring their success and alignment with community goals.
  • Ensure operational excellence in facility management, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a strong background in financial and performance management.
  • High level of commercial experience across various sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement change, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and emergency procedures.

  • Predominantly Monday – Friday 9-5 – flexibility required around events, so some weekend and evening work would be expected
