Company Profile: • A leading distributor of closures and containers (plastic and glass) to food and none food sectors. They are now looking for a Sales Manager to join their team paying up to £55,000pa depending on experience.

Job Title:• Sales Manager

Job Description of the Sales Manager: • The Sales Managers main purpose will be to accelerate the growth of revenues and profit, working with the Regional Sales Director to develop the sales penetration and New Business across the wider business.

• 50/50 Account Management / New business

Tasks and responsibilities of the Sales Manager:• Report to the Regional Sales Manager• Take ownership, accountability and responsibility for a specified territory customer base, new business and annual sales targets/KPIs.• Protecting and effectively managing the (existing business) customer base• Growing the existing and new customer base into existing or new items/sectors• Protecting against lost business and reducing the amount of Churn in the customer base• Drive growth in new and existing customers on an individual and regional basis• Deliver Revenue and Profit objectives in line with the annual budget• Enable buying - "make it easy for customers to trade with us"• Improve the buying experience (new customers), focusing on the customers and increasing conversion rates.• Improve the customer experience (existing/repeat customers), focusing on the customers and generating customer loyalty (repeat purchase) and increasing retention• Create value in the organisation, products and services we offer.• Working with the Regional Sales Director and other senior managers to advance and execute strategic plans to reach sales targets and expand the customer base.• Work closely with marketing to design and implement the organisation’s sales strategy• Working with other areas of the business to develop marketing materials and marketing opportunities.• Work with and align support functions to uncover customers true problems and provide solutions and meet the customers’ needs and expectations• Understanding the market and trends within it.• Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.• New Business Development• Support the Regional Sales Director and Senior Sales Manager (New Business Specialist) to develop initiatives that drive new markets, new customers and new products.• Communicate all the above in a pro-active and enthusiastic way to help develop sales for the Group.

Salary:• Up to £55,000 pa depending on experience plus bonus & car
