The Opportunity

Optimus Bid is a unique proposition for estate agents to help them sell property quickly and securely.We are looking for a driven Business Development Executive to promote the benefits of utilising our eBay style online auction service (or fixed price) and promoting our Auction Legal Packs. You will also generate leads in order to pass them onto the sales team. In time, the role may evolve into following these leads through and supporting the agents on an ongoing basis to maintain a regular level of instructions from them. This is a sales role, taking our products and services to new prospects, it is a high-activity outbound business generation coupled with an element of ongoing business development.

The role will involve:

  • Achievement of new business targets through the generation of leads to be passed to the Sales team to convert to new clients across our range of services - primarily Online Auctions and Legal Packs.
  • Converting some self-generated leads into Instructions and maintaining an ongoing relationship
  • Working with new and existing estate agents to encourage new instructions for auction
  • Promoting a wide range of services offered by Landmark Estate Agency services driving high-quality referrals to the team, via telesales actions.
  • Creating and finding new leads and building relationships with agents to create referral networks.
  • Develop a strategy and plan in conjunction with the Director of Transaction Optimisation and the sales team to introduce new products and generate new leads.
  • Develop a strategy and plan to target different categories of clients, via social networks and by working in conjunction with the marketing head and the wider marketing team.
  • Forge collaboration and relationships with other internal Landmark businesses, in order to drive referrals and leads from the widest possible network.
  • Ensuring effective client management and development across product lines to ensure retention and growth of revenue.
  • Attending industry events as both an exhibitor and occasional presenter.
  • Ensuring the development of clients as referrers and advocates.

About You

Ideally you will have sales experience within the residential property sector, if not, previous telesales or retail experience is essential. You will enjoy working to targets, have a proactive work ethic and have excellent drive to succeed.

  • Versatility and confidence to communicate effectively from Director/Partner level to Trainee/Administration/IT level
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Ability to network and build excellent rapport with varied customers and colleagues
  • A thorough understanding of professional account selling
  • Ability to construct and deliver persuasive presentations
