Our client based in the Lancaster area are currently recruiting for an Operations Supervisor to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

The organisation are seeking a highly motivated individual to undertake the operational management of the department. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest possible standards are met at all times and will be part of a close-knit team of supervisors, delivering the organisations strategic goals.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead, direct, and manage the day-to-day operations of the busy department.
  • Liaise with the public, colleagues, and external organisations regarding service provision and complaints.
  • Innovate to improve service delivery and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of delivery teams for effective resource use.
  • Supervise employees, including performance management, recruitment, and disciplinaries.
  • Utilise sensor technology data and ensure staff efficiency in its use.
  • Advocate for outstanding customer service and develop robust performance management systems.
  • Contribute to various strategies and liaise with external organisations where applicable.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance and adherence to policies.
  • Oversee financial operations with integrity and due diligence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Leadership/management qualification or relevant practical experience.
  • Operational management experience with fleet and plant vehicles.
  • Financial control knowledge, including budget management and value for money.
  • People management experience with a strong focus on leadership.
  • Proficiency in technology use for daily operations.
  • Experience in writing and revising Risk Assessments, COSHH, and IOSH.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A current full driving licence is essential
