Year 5 One-to-One Teaching Assistant (Level 2)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 student at a local primary school in Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with complex needs. This role is to start as soon as possible.

Position: One-to-One Teaching Assistant (Year 5)Location: Lancaster Hours: 08:45- 15:15, Monday to Friday, term-time onlySalary: £14.20 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a Year 5 student with complex needs.
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning strategies and activities.
  • Support the student in accessing the curriculum, ensuring they are engaged and progressing.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to monitor the student's development and well-being.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working with children with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students.
  • At least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification required.
