We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our nursery/EYFS setting in a Lancaster-based school. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for early childhood education and a good understanding of the EYFS framework. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 08:45 am to 3:15 pm, starting from 24th February until July 2025.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum within the nursery setting.
  • Assist in planning and preparing activities that promote children's learning and engagement.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to monitor and record the progress of children.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Engage with children during lessons and play to facilitate interactive learning.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of activities and meals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working in early years settings is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS framework and continuous provision.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the children and school.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead small groups / phonics sessions
