Night Care Manager

This is a full time permanent opportunity working 8pm to 8am on a two week rolling rota.

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, SundayWeek 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

We are looking for a Night Care Manager who can manage the service throughout the night in the absence of the home manager. You will be the first point of contact for the senior carers and care assistants monitoring and observing the care being provided, giving additional support, training and supervision when required. You will ensure the that detailed and effective handovers are completed and evidenced, including the handover of company property and medications. We are looking for a role model, who can build exceptional rapport with residents and their families.

The Care home is state-of-the-art new care home. This 67 bedded service offers the very best in personal, dementia, and respite care split over three floors.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Working within a similar setting bringing a wealth of knowledge in dementia and elderly care whilst having you NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Experience of managing and leading a team as well as completing supervisions and appraisals
  • Have a clear understanding of medication including managing the receipt of medications into the home

MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Leading and managing a team throughout the night, including leading nightly meetings, providing positive feedback to the staff and being a role model for the staff within the home
  • Managing night rotas to ensure these are fully staffed and there is a good skill mix
  • To communicate effectively with the homes’ management team, making sure that all concerns are dealt with quickly and promptly
